Why phone number reputation matters?
You have many choices for phone service today, but not all are equal in ensuring your phone number reputation is good.
Whether you reach a voicemail box that doesn’t sound quite right, your customers report they never got your call, or the call suddenly hangs up before you reach the customer, these are all symptoms of call filtering that the FCC and state law now mandates.
Not all carriers are the same, and you can see this in popular call filtering apps where their customers numbers are largely filtered as spam or nuisance, despite these calls being legitimate (calling you back to tell you your car is ready, advising your dog is ready for pickup at the groomer, etc).
When picking a telecom carrier, make sure to ask how they handle automated spam reports like SIP 603+ Network Blocked, where they will set the Caller Name data on your behalf, and what registrations they might recommend based on your most frequently called numbers.
A little bit of footwork upfront can ensure your calls make it to clients reliably! Choose a carrier that cares, one that will tell you when other carriers are rejecting your calls and have flagged your phone number.
